MOSTRE --- EXHIBITIONS

It's September, it's almost Autumn and it's time to get back to this blog seriously, as it has been on holiday for a while.
Where did the four "girls" go?

To Tremosine, for the exhibition of Nicoletta, who is the quilter who sewed 120 mini quilts-bomboniera for her son's wedding.

To get to her we had to drive through a street dug into the rocks, then we stared at her quilts, the lake, the small village, the flowers in her garden, from which you feel like diving into the lake...

e abbiamo sognato guardando questo casale.
and then we dreamt looking at this farmhouse.

Who is the girl in the picture and what was she doing hiding behind the quilts?
She's Sonia's daughter and was reading and checking Quilt Italia's stand.

In fact, after Tremosine I went to the exhibition organised by Quilt Italia at Lanzada in Valmalenco.
And here there were as well quilts, flowers, mushrooms and chats and a beautiful house to dream.
Yes, because when I'm with my friends we like dreaming and thinking of buying a farmhouse where we could organise patchwork courses, quilts exhibitions, nights around the fire and share secrets of patchwork and not only.
It's just a dream but I'd like to ask you something... "In which of the farmhouses below would you like to spend a quilting week?"

I would perhaps choose Toscana although I have never visited any of these places. I love the names of them, everything sounds wonderful in Italian.

Puglia!
Anche se il lago...o la montagna...
Forse per scegliere dovrei provarli tutti ;-)

Fabulous slideshow again, than you. I would be happy to spend a week quilting in any of the places although tremosine looks so peaceful.
