SSCS and SWAP

Avevo promesso di aprire il mio SSCS swap organizzato da Donna solo a Natale e così ieri ho potuto aprire il pacchetto arrivato dalla lontana California ben 10 giorni fa.
La mia partner Polly mi ha mandato tutti questi pacchettini
I promised to open my SSCS organized by Donna only at Christmas and so yesterday I opened the box arrived 10 days ago from California.

il tutto accompagnato da un delizioso biglietto che penso abbia personalizzato lei stessa con i glitter.

Sul mio albero non c'era nessun lavoro ricamato a punto croce ma da adesso l'avrò anch'io.
On my tree there was nothing embroidered with cross-stitch but now I have it too.

Io invece a MELANIA ho mandato questo alberello con un angioletto swarovski ma..... non so ancora se l'ha ricevuto.
Lo stesso albero l'ho spedito a ROBERTA, MICHELA e CHIARA che erano state le prime tre che avevano risposto al mio PIF.
Instead I've sent to MELANIA this tree with a swarovski angel.....but I still don't know if she has received it yet.
I've sent a tree like that to ROBERTA, MICHELA and CHIARA too, because they were the first 3 answering to my PIF.

Due mie amiche carissime CARMELINA e GERARDINA, che purtroppo non abitano più nella mia città, mi hanno mandato tutti questi regali

e un quaderno con la copertina ricamata a punto croce per scrivere i miei ricordi.

NELLIE e VICKIE - PIF e SWAP

Una cosa bella che mi piace delle vacanze è che una persona parte e poi quando torna a casa può trovare alcune piacevoli sorprese.
Io ne ho trovate due..........

A thing I like about holidays is that a person can leave and when she comes back she can find beautiful surprises.

I've found two..............

La prima è stata il PIF di Nellie .
E' un bellissimo quiltino che ha fatto per me dopo che io avevo apprezzato un suo quilt che aveva come tema le scarpe e che lei aveva mandato ad una esposizione. Qui e qui potete trovare sia la costruzione del quilt che ora è appeso nella mia casa, sia il quilt che ha originato il PIF.
Il fatto particolare è che le scarpe riprodotte sono rosse e col tacco alto.
Il tacco alto mi è sempre piaciuto ma ora a causa dei dolori alle gambe non lo posso più mettere, ma le scarpe rosse e si quelle me le metto ancora.

The first one is the PIF by Nellie .
It's a wonderful mini quilt she did for me after I said I like a quilt she did about shoes and that she had sent to an exhibition.
Here and here  you can find both the construction of the quilt, that now is hanged in my house, and the quilt that gave inspiration for the PIF.
The fact is that the shoes are red and high heels. I've always liked high heels shoes but now because of my leg-aches I can't wear them anymore, but the red shoes...oh yes, I still wear them.

Quando è arrivato lo scatolone e l'ho aperto WOOOOOW!
Un libro di ricette, un grembiule con la tasca a forma di dolcetto, formine e un porta dolcetti che proprio l'altro giorno avevo visto sul suo blog e avevo lasciato un commento dicendo che mi piaceva molto.
Non potevo immaginare che uno uguale era in viaggio per me.
Vickie in questi giorni sta festeggiando i compleanni dei suoi famigliari che sono nati in Agosto, perciò se guardate qui potete vedere il portadolci tutto pieno di Cupcakes.

When the box arrived, I opened it and...WOOOOOW!
A recipe book, an apron with the cupcake shape pocket, moulds and a cakes-holder, that I've seen a few days ago on her blog and I've left a comment saying I really like it. I coouldn't imagine one was fling to me.
In these days Vickie is celebrating her family's birthdays and so if you look here you can see the cakes-holder full of cupcakes.
