VACANZE IN SETTEMBRE --- HOLYDAYS IN SEPTEMBER

Ciao to everyone, I'm back after almost one month of holidays, quilting days and wonderful images in my eyes and heart.
In September I took part in three quolting days in three different regions, different but close to each other by the thread sewing patches.

From Valle d'Aosta - so green and fresh with its huge mountains - to Sardinia with its amazing see leaving me speechless.

That was the first time in 63 years I visited Sardinia and I was charmed by its contrasts and hundreds faces.
I went from the prosperity and beauty of the coasts to the dryness of some inner parts, where people keep leaving according to hold traditions, trying to keep them alive for younger people who will come back home in a few years.

Then I went to Tuscany, rich of art and history, before arriving in Emilia Romagna, where I was the houses hurted by the earthquake while I was driving through those roads. around these houses there were fields ready to be seeded. On the sides a scraper and a tractor parked.

Ciao

The thread putting together my trip was patchwork, and I saw different styles, fabrics, threads, smiles, demonstrations, love, wonderful quilts and a lot of welcome.
Thanks to all the quilters and people I met.
I prepared a collection of pictures for you and I hope to give you a taste of what I experienced through them. Ciao

The thought of seeing the beauty of Italy is overwhelming to me. Living there among the various countries and cultures that have so much to offer to those who travel is an awesome thought.
