SONO QUI --- HERE I'M

I live in a building at a really busy crossroad, which is also really noisy in some moments of the day.
Last week everything was silent, motorcycles and cars were starting going without any strange impatient noise.
There were so many moments of embarassing silence which were bringing my memory back to the earthquake, to the the death of an innocent student caused by a bomb, and to others bad moments which affected our lives as Italian citizens.
It will be hard to forget, probably impossible.
Today I heard these words at the radio: "Italy is like a rusty scooter". And this bothered me.
No, I don't feel like a small piece of a rusty scooter, and I'm sure a lot of Italians don't.

Niente cucito e tanto computer.

And after this patriotic outlet, our personal life goes on.
I don't have any pictures of Sardinia to show you, because for family reasons we couldn't go there. But we will in September.
No pictures, no sunbathing, but on the other side a lot of family moments, love, friendship and negative things which then turned into positive ones, and a lot of time spent at home.
No sewing but a lot of computer.
And with my laptop I tried to realize an idea my friends and I thought last Christmas.
Realize some old board games with patchwork.
I've started with the snakes and ladders game (which in Italian is called the goose game) and I've involved my Quilt Italia colleagues who replied with a lot of enthusiasm and love.
If you want to follow and see what's going on visit the new blog dedicated to the "Goose game".

So sorry you didn't get to go to Sardinia. I would only describe Italy in beautiful words.
The goose game looks interesting.
