SORPRESA --- SURPRISE

Questa mattina ho ricevuto una graditissima sorpresa.............infatti nella posta ho trovato una lettera di Mieke.
Mieke è un membro dell'associazione olandese di patchwork- QUILTERSGILDE - e l'avevo conosciuta virtualmente più di due anni fa quando trovando il suo indirizzo mail le avevo chiesto se voleva che ci scambiassimo le spille delle nostre Associazioni Nazionali.
Oggi aprendo la busta ho trovato due nuove spille, un paio di forbici con impresso Quiltersgilde e la loro rivista che io, come anche lei mi scrive, non potrò leggere essendo in olandese ma che contiene le foto di lavori bellissimi e i lavori patchwork non hanno lingua sono internazionali.
Mieke in occasione del "25° ANNIVERSARIO di QUILTERSGILDE" si è ricordata di me e naturalmente questa sorpresa mi ha fatto molto piacere.
Mando tantissime congratulazioni all'Associazione Olandese, 25 anni sono molti, è un traguardo importantissimo.
Sarà possibile acquistare la spilla solamente durante le esposizioni NEI PAESI BASSI.

This morning I've received a great surprise...........I've found a letter from Mieke.
Mieke is a member of the Dutch association of patchwork - QUILTERSGILDE - and I've met her more than two years ago virtually, when I found her e-mail address and I asked her if she wanted to exchange our National Associations pins.
Today opening the envelope I've found two new pins, a pair of scissors with the logo Quiltersgilde upon it and their newsletter that I won't be able to read, as she told me too, because it's written in Dutch but there are a lot of pictures of wonderful works. Patchwork works have no language, they are international.
Mieke, in occasion of the "25th ANNIVERSARY OF QUILTERSGILDE", has been thinking of me and I have so happy to receive this surprise.
Congratulations to the Dutch Association, 25 years are such a long time, it's a very important goal.

E.........prendendo spunto da questo anniversario mi piacerebbe sapere da quanti anni esiste la vostra associazione nazionale oppure il vostro gruppo e alla fine vedremo qual'è il più longevo.
QUILT ITALIA la mia associazione compirà quest'anno 12 anni.

And........starting from this anniversary I'd like to know how old is the national association you are a member of or how old is your group and finally we will see which is the long-living.
