Ahimè la mia povera schiena si è bloccata e oggi finalmente riesco a muovermi un pochino.

Chiedo scusa alle signore che aspettavano il tutorial dei tulipani che abbellivano lo stand di Quilt Italia a Bergamo.

Tutte le spiegazioni le potrete trovare da Claudia che l'aveva preparato lo scorso anno.

In the last days I had backache and today I can move a bit more at last.

I want to apologize to the girls who had been waiting for the tutorial of the tulips, that made the corner of Quilt Italia in Bergamo.

Ho ricevuto "NINE PATCH FRAME" da Randi una amica americana che vive a Brindisi in Puglia. L'ho voluto fotografare tra le mie piante gelide sperando che porti un po' di caldo.

I've received "NINE PATCH FRAME" from Randi, an American friend who lives in Brindisi (Puglia). I wanted to take a picture of it among by frozen plants, hoping it will warm them.

E ho consegnato il mio"GIRO DEL MONDO INTORNO AD UN GINGO BILOBA" a Lucia che vive anche lei in Puglia. Voi che dite devo andare in Puglia a trovarle?
And I've given my "GLOBETROTTING AROUND A GINGO BILOBA" to Lucia, who lives in Puglia too. What about going to Puglia and meet them?

QUILTING MACHINE

Il volto sorridente e felice di Tatiana esprime tutta la gioia che una quilter prova quando, terminato il top, è sicura che il suo quilt non diventerà un UFO.

Infatti nel negozio di Laura è arrivata la macchina per quiltare che sarà a disposizione dei quilts delle clienti.

Mercoledì sono andata a vederla, fantastica.

The smiling and happy face of Tatiana shows the joy a quilter feels when she has finished the top. She's sure her quilt won't become a UFO.

Infact in Laura's shop has just arrived the new quilting machine that will be used for the quilts of the customers.

On Wednesday I went to see it, it's wonderful!

RIMINI IL GIORNO DOPO --- RIMINI, THE DAY AFTER

A Rimini il 6/7 febbraio 2010 si è tenuta l'Assemblea di Quilt Italia per eleggere il nuovo direttivo che per i prossimi tre anni seguirà la nostra associazione.

Dopo i ringraziamenti e i saluti del CD uscente e precisamente di Roberta, Barbara, Gabriella, Gloria, Giovanna, Lucia e Monica, e dopo un lungo pomeriggio, in serata è stato eletto il nuovo CD formato da Roberta, Gabriella, Giulia, Grazia, Lucia, Silvana e Sonia.

Buon Lavoro a tutte, noi socie comprese.

Il mattino seguente invece c'è stata una gara di cucito....col materiale messo a disposizione, in due ore, divise in piccoli gruppi, bisognava creare quello che si preferiva.

Il mio gruppo ha cucito una barca puntaspilli e porta oggetti pensando al mare di Rimini.

La vedrete nelle foto. Delle creazioni degli altri gruppi e del progetto che ha vinto, non ho messo foto perché saranno una sorpresa che troverete nella News Letter.

On the 6th and 7th of February 2010, in Rimini, there has been the General Meeting of Quilt Italia. We had to elect the new Managing Board, that will run our association for the next 3 years.

After the wishes and thanks of the previous board, and in particular of Roberta, Barbara and Gabriella, Gloria, Giovanna, Lucia, and Monica, and after a long afternoon... in the evening we elected the members of the new board: Roberta, Gabriella, Giulia, Grazia, Lucia, Silvana, and Sonia.

Enjoy your work to all the members.

The morning after there was a sewing competition... with the materials offered several groups had to create whatever they liked in two hours.

My group sewed a boat to hold pins and other objects, thinking about the sea of Rimini.

You'll see them in the pictures. I didn't upload the pics of the creations of the other groups and of the winning project, because it's a surprise you'll see in the next News Letter.
