E............ invece sono un po' in ritardo con il CALENDARIO di Paola progetto che ho scoperto da poco e che mi piace tantissimo.
Cercherò sicuramente di postarlo la prossima settimana.
Paola ha aperto un blog tutto dedicato ai suoi disegni che sono a disposizione delle ricamatrici.

PASQUA --- EASTER

Vi presento altri fiori-uova che si possono fare per abbellire la tavola.
Questi sono facilissimi.

Let me introduce you more egg-flowers that could be done to make the table look prettier.

These are really easy.

Il materiale occorrente è : uova di polistirolo della misura preferita, spilli corti, perline piccole, nastro alto 3 millimetri. Per un uovo di media grandezza servono circa 9 metri di nastro che può essere di un colore oppure misto. Io preferisco mischiare tre colori.
Ed infine dei legnetti lunghi 50 cm.

The stuff you need is: polystyrene eggs of the measure you prefer, short needles, little bead, ribbon 3 mm high. To make an egg you need about 9 mt of ribbon, that could be just of one colour or more than one. I usually mix 3 colours.

And small wooden sticks about 50 cm long.




Tagliare il nastro in pezzetti di 10/12 cm ed infilarli sullo spillo dopo aver inserito una perlina.

Cut the ribbon in pieces about 10/12 cm long and thread them on a needle after threading a bead.

Riempire l'uovo con tutti questi fiocchetti. Infilate l'uovo su un legnetto (quelli per sorreggere i fiori vanno benissimo e se li prendete verdi meglio ancora).

Cover the whole egg with the little bows. Thread the egg on the wooden sticks (the ones used for flowers are perfect and if you buy the green ones it's even better).

ed ecco l'uovo-fiore pronto.
Se volete potete completare con un po' di nastrini che sembrano le foglie.

and here you are the egg-flower ready.

If you want you can add some green ribbon so that it looks like leaves.

PATCH MED

Questa che vedete è la locandina di un evento che ci sarà a Milano e precisamente al Forum di Assago dal 14 al 16 Marzo.
E' il PRIMO SALONE MEDITERRANEO DI PATCHWORK E QUILTING e la QUILT ITALIA l'associazione nazionale italiana di patchwork sarà presente con un ampio spazio.
Durante i tre giorni della manifestazione verranno organizzati corsi con tecniche varie e dimostrazioni e potrete inoltre vedere una bellissima mostra.
Altri corsi verranno organizzati presso gli stands dei vari espositori.

These is the leaflet of a show that will take place in Milan - at Assago Forum - from May 14th till May 16th.
It is the FIRST MEDITERRANEAN SHOW OF PATCHWORK AND QUILTING and QUILT ITALIA - Italian national association of patchwork - will have a big place in it.
During the 3 days there will be courses of different techniques, demonstrations and it will be possible to visit a wonderful exhibition.
At the stands of other exhibitors there will be other courses.

PASQUA --- EASTER

Pasqua si avvicina e come al solito sto pensando a cosa regalare ai miei ospiti.
Queste sono le uova che mi sono rimaste dallo scorso anno.
Le avevo messe in un vaso come fossero dei fiori e stavano benissimo. Sono fatte con uova di plastica e poi ricoperte con stringhe di cera e di perline. Un bel fiocco messo come foglie e voilà fatto.

Easter is coming and as usual I'm thinking about the gifts for my guests.
These are the eggs left from last year.
I put them in a vase so that they looked like flowers and they were so pretty. They are made of plastic egg covered with laces of wax and beads. A nice ribbon to create the leaves and they are ready.

14 FEBBRAIO

Oggi 14 Febbraio San Valentino.
Io e mio marito dopo 33 anni di matrimonio non ci facciamo più i regalini che si vedono nei negozi, ma questa mattina mi sono alzata ed ero un po' strana...........e dopo un po' ho pensato di fare un regalo sorpresa, volevo fare qualche cosa che non avevo mai fatto.
Ho telefonato in ufficio suggerendo a mio marito di tornare per il pranzo con mio figlio e poi l'avrei riaccompagnato io dopo esserci fermati a bere un buon caffè al bar.
Perfetto..... lui ha acconsentito.
Perciò alle 14 usciamo e prendiamo la mia automobile che era molto sporca,da Rimini non l'avevo ancora lavata,e mio marito che non sopporta le auto sporche mi fa notare la cosa.
Io rispondo che lo sapevo benissimo, andiamo e dopo il caffè metto in pratica quello che avevo pensato al mattino.......faccio un giro un po' lungo fino ad arrivare ad un autolavaggio ..........e arrivata lì dico
.....dai entriamo così lavo la macchina.
Entriamo e ...........proprio lì in mezzo ai rulli gli appioppo uno bel bacio.
E mio marito...........un vergognoso scioccato............ma tu sei pazza!!!!!!!Ma era contento.

My husband and I, after 33 years of marriage, don't buy the little gifts, you can see in the shop-windows in these days, for each other any more, but this morning I woke up and felt a bit strange......................... and after a while I've been thinking about a surprise for him, I wanted to do something we had never done before.
I called him at the office and told him to come home for lunch with our son and then I would have taken him back after having a coffee.
Perfect........he told me it was ok.
So at 2pm we take my car to go to the coffee-shop. It was really dirty, I haven't washed it yet since I've been to Rimini, and my husband doesn't like dirty cars at all.
After drinking a coffee, the plan I had been thinking in the morning can start........I take a long way to the car wash (one of the longest car wash I knew, where they soap the car twice)....and when we got there I said..........let's go in so I can wash the car.
We got in and....................in the middle of the car wash tunnel I gave him a big kiss and he felt................. shy and shocked...............and said "You are crazy!!!!!!!"But he was so happy!

RIMINI

Eccomi di nuovo a casa dopo due giorni ricchi di tanti momenti che mi terrò come ricordi preziosi.
Ho fatto tante foto e ho scelto da condividere con voi quelle che mi sembra possono essere delle finestrelle che vi permetterano di sentirvi a Rimini mentre le guarderete.
Abbiamo avuto un intero pomeriggio di incontri con visi conosciuti ed altri sconosciuti, con bloggers conosciute ed altre da conoscere e da ricordare per poter rivedere il loro viso leggendo i posts....... e poi i laboratori con tante nuove tecniche ........ lo show and tell con tanti quilts e per vederli tutte abbiamo fatto le ore piccole e poi al mattino presto.... una scappatina a bagnare le scarpe nel mare e..... l'Assemblea che è stata molto intensa e a tratti anche accesa perchè c'erano tante questioni tecniche da sistemare e poi il pranzo, le ultime chiacchere, i saluti e....di nuovo in macchina verso casa.
Nelle foto potrete vedere la nostra socia più giovane - 15 anni-, i nostri due nuovi quilters-DUE RAGAZZI- che ci hanno incantato con i loro lavori, quilts e borse che hanno cucito aiutati dalla loro insegnante Patrizia.
E poi tanti capolavori delle amiche arrivate a Rimini un po' da tutta l'Italia (eravamo quasi 180).
E.........infine tante piccole coperte fatte da tante amanti del patchwork che hanno messo un amore particolare nel cucirle sapendo che poi sarebbero state donate ai bambini dell' OSPEDALE degli Innocenti di Firenze in occasione della Mostra dell'8 Marzo.

Here I am, back after two days full of moments that I will keep in my mind like a treasure.
I've taken a lot of pictures and I want to share some of them with you, the ones that will be able to make you feel like you have been there, as if they are little windows on Rimini.
We had a long afternoon with known and less known faces, with known bloggers and new ones to know and remember in order to read their posts, with courses with new techniques, a show and tell with a lot of surprises.............. we have been together till late and then early in the morning quickly to the beach and then............ the Meeting. It has been very intense and sometimes heated too, because there were a lot of technical subjects. Then we had lunch, some chatting, greetings and........... back in the cars driving back home.
In the pictures you will see our youngest member -15 years old-, our two new quilters -TWO GUYS- who enchanted us with their works, quilts and bags created with their teacher Patrizia.
A lot of masterpieces created by the friends who came to Rimini from every part of Italy (we were about 180).
And.................in the end a lot of little covers sewed by the lovers of patchwork, who put a particular love in their works because they knew that the covers will be given to the children of Innocenti HOSPITAL in Florence during the show of the 8th of March.

Le ha fatte Ileana e poi le ha messe in bella mostra sopra il caminetto del suo negozio........e vi assicuro che abbiamo tanti ammiratori.

Ileana made and then put them on the fireplace in her shop...............and let me tell you we have thounsands of fans.

e........... sabato scorso verso sera ci siamo trovate noi tre più altre amiche ed abbiamo fatto un gregge di pecore - a queste ne vanno aggiunte altre che erano al trucco.

Naturalmente abbiamo trascorso alcune ore piacevoli chiaccherando e raccontandoci.

and........... last saturday night we met with some other friends and did these flock of lambs (sheeps) - there are more than the ones you see in the pic, but the other ones were at the make-up.

We spent few wonderful hours chatting and telling.

Sabato prossimo andrò a Rimini alla Assemblea Annuale di Quilt Italia, il mio gruppo Patchwork, incontrerò tante amiche che conosco da anni e ne conoscerò altre con le quali fino ad ora ho sempre parlato tramite blog. Ci sarà un grande incontro!!!!!!!!
Next Saturday I will be in Rimini at the Annual Assembly of Quilt Italia, the Patchwork association of which I am a member, I'll meet many friends that I've known a long time ago and I'll know many others, with whom I've been chatting only through our blogs. It will be a great meeting!

Vi spiego perchè giro gli Awards a tutte le blogger.......... vivendo in una società che purtroppo tutti i giorni ci comunica oltre a tante notizie piacevoli ed interessanti, tantissimi brutti eventi ai quali non si può rimanere insensibili, che accadono sia vicino a noi sia lontano ma comunque sempre nel nostro mondo - NELL'UNICO MONDO CHE ABBIAMO - allora io penso che rendere piacevole il nostro piccolo spazio quotidiano e soprattutto trovarne tanti altri - I VOSTRI - sia una pausa serena e positiva senza per questo dimenticare tutto il resto.

Let me explain why I give the Awards to all the bloggers......... we live in a society that everyday shows us not only interesting and nice news but sad and bad events too, happening nearby or far away but always in our world - THE ONLY WORLD WE HAVE - so I think that we make our daily spaces better and it is nice to find many others - YOUR DAILY SPACES - they give us an happy and positive break, without forgetting what happens around us.

BELLA DOMENICA E POI........ NICE SUNDAY AND THEN.......

Domenica io e mio marito abbiamo trascorso una bellissima giornata in montagna a Cervinia e poi..........per tutta la settimana la schiena e le gambe sono state un po' dolenti. Ma ora tutto è passato.
On Sunday my husband and I spent a wonderful day on the mountains at Cervinia and then......... my back and my legs have been hurting all week long. But now I feel better.
