BUON ANNO --- HAPPY NEW YEAR

Il 2009 è finito e durante tutto l'anno il soggetto preferito della mia macchina fotografica è stato "le mani".

2009 is finished and during the year the favourite subject of my camera has been "hands".

Le mani che ,come si vede nel quilt di Daniela e nel dipinto di Ivana, si svegliano al mattino con noi e poi per tutto il giorno ci aiutano nelle nostre acrobazie.
Augurandovi un FELICE 2010, mando un grosso bacio e lo faccio volare dalla mia mano fino a voi.
Hands that, as you can see from the quilt made by Daniela and the painting made by Ivana, wake up in the morning and help us all day during our acrobatics.

CHE SETTIMANA! --- WHAT A WEEK!

Che settimana! Adesso vi faccio la cronaca ma solo delle cose belle.
Il giorno 8 Quilt Italia ha inaugurato a L'Aquila un centro patchwork dove le signore colpite dal terremoto potranno recarsi per cucire insieme.

What a week! Now I report you everything... but just beautiful things.

On the 8th of December, Quilt Italia opened a patchwork centre in L'Aquila, where women affected by the earthquake can sew together.

Il giorno 11 sono partiti da Roma gli orsetti di Regaliamo un Sorriso che arriveranno in Brasile.

On the 11th the little bears of Regaliamo un Sorriso have left Rome to go to Brasil.

Il giorno 15 si è inaugurato negli USA un grande ospedale che accoglierà bimbi e persone ammalate di cuore ed è stato presentato il grande quilt "Praire Performance" che Nellie ha creato per la hall, ha lavorato per molti mesi a questo grande progetto che donerà un po' di serenità alle persone che entreranno nell'ospedale. Qui tutta la costruzione del progetto.

On the 15th has been opened in the US a huge hospital for children and people affected by problems at the heart and has been presented the big quilt "Praire Performance", that Nellie created for the hall. She had been working for many months at this project, that will give serenity to people entering the hospital. Here you can see the project step-by-step.

Ieri Sonnja ha raggiunto il traguardo di altri mille orsetti che verranno spediti ad altrettanti bimbi in Africa.

Yesterday Sonnja reached the goal of 1000 more little bears, that will be sent to 1000 children in Africa.

Io dico che è stata una bella settimana.

E poi ......

venerdì 11 sono tornata dalle fate e ho trovato il loro mondo tutto in subbuglio, erano le quattro del pomeriggio.........

I think it's been an amazing week.

And then ........

on Friday the 11th I went back to the fairies and I've found chaos in their world. It was 4 p.m. ...............

c'erano gnomi

there were gnomes

e folletti in ogni angolo.............

and the elfs in a corner...........

le fate che preparavano i regali.........

the fairies were preparing the gifts............

Gnometto, il più piccolo che aveva fatto uscire il suo amico uccellino dalla gabbia..............

Little Gnome, the youngest, who made his bird friend get out of his cage............

ed era volato via a cercare bacche per l'albero di Natale.......

flew away looking berries for the Christmas tree...........

la mamma che preoccupata per Gnometto, mentre riordinava la cucina........

Little Gnome's mom was a bit worried for him, and while she was tiding up the kitchen........

veniva tranquillizzata dal marito, dalla nonna e dal nonno.........

her husband, the grandmom and the grandfather were calming her down..........

le zie e gli zii che si scambiavano consigli........

aunts and uncles were giving each other advices...........

insomma era tutto un movimento, un vociare che si è calmato solo quando è arrivato lo zio con l'albero da addobbare e Gnometto con le bacche.

so there was a big chaos: a buzz of conversations that stopped only whem the uncle came with the tree, that they started decorating, and Little Gnome came back with the berries.

e poi........ ho finito un po' di ghirlande..........

and then.......... I've finished some garlands..............

e poi e poi...........ve lo dico lunedì. Ciao Ciao.
