GUNNEL

Gunnel crea quilt, inchies, cards and postcards ricamando e assemblando foto, ricordi ed emozioni.
Last year, going around the web, I found myself in this typical North-European country house.
I was in Sweden at
Gunnel's and since that moment I've been visiting her creative world very often.
Gunnel creates quilts, inchies, cards and postcards by embroidering and putting together pictures, memories and emotions.
A few weeks ago I decided I wanted one of her postcards. She sells her works in her ETSY SHOP  and so I ordered two of them, that after few days arrived. You can see them below.....

when I had them in my hands I understood her creativity is so great and endless!

ROSANNA

From Sweden I've received this gift from Rosanna too. She an Italian friend who lives there, she hasn't a blog but she keeps in touch with the mailing list of Quilt Italia.
They are: two bookmarks, that my daughter immediately took for her collection, and a cross.

grazie a Gunnel e a Rosanna.
Thanks to Gunnel and Rosanna.

Maybe you have noticed that in my music box the same song appears twice. WHY...............
...............BECAUSE I downloaded the version by Fiorella Mannoia, who has such a soft and delicate voice, then my son coming back home told me "I've heard your songs, they are cool but...the first one was written by Liga (Luciano Ligabue) and you uploaded the one by Fiorella Mannoia. Liga sounds better."
So I decided to upload the two versions, so everybody is happy now.

Linda cara,
Amazing postcards! As if talking cards to me: too emotional, too detailed. Bookmarks are also to die for. Now I want to explore Gunnel's world, maybe I'll be leading to order as I do have a collection like your daughter:)
Ciao e a presto.

Hi Linda, I have been reading your blog for a while now, I enjoy your photos of the quilt shows you attend. My husband & I were on a 2 week tour of Italy in May of this year. We had a wonderful time, but alas I did not see one patchwork shop! Italy is a beautiful country.
Thank you for sharing Gunnel's blog with us, she makes such creative items.

Thanks for your visit.
I'm happy to read you spent a wonderful holiday in Italy.
About patchwork shops you didn't find.....there are both in big cities, like Rome, Florence, and expecially in small towns.
Next time you'll come you can find the address on the website of our association http://www.quiltitalia.it/
at the voice: NEGOZI E LABORATORI.
And if you are near Milan, let me know, so we'll have the chance to meet!
ciao ciao Linda

ciao ciao Linda

The Calico Quilter ha detto...

The bookmarks and cross are amazing. How are they made? I know nothing about crochet or tatting so I figured it was one of these, but the work is smaller and finer than any I had seen.

I'm marveling that I, an American, am reading a blog from an Italian that I found by perusing comments for Japanese blogger! Isn't life amazing?

I'm with the calico quilter! An English woman, looking at an Italian blog about a Swedish blogger! Lovely
