DUE ANNI --- TWO YEARS

TROPPO BELLO!

Today is my second blog's anniversary and I'm very happy for everything you have been giving to me.Thanks.

Last week I’ve received two e-mails that confimerd what I had been thinking. They said…..
“Each morning I drink my cup of tea and I ‘page through’ the pages of this precious newspaper; it doesn’t matter if it’s the same of the previous day…….”

“For a person who doesn’t like travelling like me, visiting your and the other blogs is like being in the world.”

I travel in my and your world and when I wake up in the morning I switch on my pc to check if any friends wrote me during the night.
And I think we could look like many colourful and bright dots around undreamed-of places and I like thinking that when some dots turn off because a day is gone, somewhere other dots turn on because a new day is starting, and sometimes I imagine a Quilting Day all together.
I’d like to meet all the Italian bloggers, hug them and smell the perfume of the sea, the cool of the mountains or the sultry weather of the city or the perfume of the flowers in the countryside or see in your eyes the beauty of the famous cities around the world and the quiet of the small towns and realize that you really are like I had been imagining you. What I’d like to do is to move in me all the feelings I have when I come into your houses without you to see me.
And then I’d like to hug May Britt, Gunnel, Anne Heidi and be cheek to cheek with their cheeks coloured by the sun or by the snow and smeel the perfume of the sweets that Nadine makes with her grandson when outside it’s raining; or feel the warm, the rhythm and the colours of tha Spanish bloggers; or the perfume of the fields of Darcie and Donna (and maybe find out that when she hugs you, she lets one of her wonderful pics slide of Australia into your hands) or hear the ocean of Pam and see her with the little Hunter, and Leanne with her surfers; or see in Nellies’ eyes the sunset of her lake; or hear the voice of Connie, of her grandsons and friends; or hear in the voice of Tanya American and Japanise traditions; and then see the camper van of Barbara coming from Germany, with Bea and Waltraud and all the other German friends; and smeel the roses of Mimie; and listen to Clare talking about her projects; and Meggie telling us about some memories; and meet Frederique, who maybe leaves her boat just for one day; or Dubi coming with her motorcycle; and then Sma and Nihal, and listen to the enthusiastic voice of Mrs Goodeedle saying she will become grandmom very soon; and then Sonnja with the bears and………the others, all the others that coming will behave a bit of their country.
Ok ok it’s a dream, and you should know I love dreaming, but if it will come true? SO NICE!

In the meanwhile I show you the picture of a little dream realized with my friends..........Caterina, Vittoria, Silvana, Grazia C, Grazia P, Ileana, Ines, Graziella, Giuliana, Isabella e Chiara.
It's 70 birds we are going to give as a gift to the children of the hospital of the town where I live, 20 of them will be little legs while 50 (as you can see from the pics I still have to make them the mouth) without them, so they can be put in the pocket or hanged above the bed.

I've learned how to say CIAO in other languages, infact some bloggers answer with their greeting.
Hej dà, Hej hej, Salut, Hi, Hallo, Hola, if you want to write ciao in your language I will be very very happy.
Ciao to everybody, thanks and please accept my dreams, they keep me young and encourage me...................a kiss.

Happy Blog-aversary! I'm emailing you a photo of the real sunset over Lake Michigan. Sometimes I think my quilts are too bright, but then when I see a spectacular sunset I realize that mother nature cannot be outdone.

I'll post a link and the photos of the birds you emailed to me when you write about your bird making project. Interesting way you've discovered to make their legs. I also see that the birds head was modified to give him a built-in beak. I'll try to do that when my grandchildren make their birds.
